â??A Night for Small Businessesâ? At Harwich Community Center

Senator Harriette Chandler and Representative David Torrisi, Co-Chairs of the Joint Committee on Community Development & Small Business, invite you to a public hearing entitled â??A Night for Small Businesses.â? The event will be held Wednesday, June 8th from 5:30-7:30 pm at the Harwich Community Center, 100 Oak Street, Harwich.


The public hearing is hosted by Representative Shirley Gomes, a member of the Committee. The Committee on Community Development & Small Business was created in 2005 to focus attention on small businesses, which are a vital element of the economy of the Commonwealth. Members of the small business community are welcome, including owners, employees and concerned citizens.


Your representatives and committee members want to hear from you:


What are the most important issues that small businesses face? How can the State Legislature improve the small business environment? What issues are specific to the Cape Cod business community? What has your experience been working in the small business sector?


Members of the audience will have the opportunity to address the committee and express their opinions. Anyone with an interest in community development is encouraged to attend.
