Truro police activity for the week of February 25 through March 3, 2013.
During the week of Monday, February 25, 2013 through Sunday, March 3, 2013, Truro police officers responded to 113 services calls.
Of those calls, 63 were traffic stops during which drivers were issued spoken warnings, written warnings or violations. There were also two suspicious activity calls, one on Route 6 on the 27th and the other on Highland Light Road on the 28th, a motor vehicle accident on Noons Heights Road on the 26th and a fox vs. vehicle on Route 6 on the 25th.
Truro officers also provided assistance to the Truro Fire Department, the Provincetown Police Department and National Park Service.
Two arrests were also made during the week. On Tuesday, February 26, Evaldo Guedes, 31, of Fall River, MA was arrested on Route 6 at 8:07 a.m. and charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and speeding. On Friday, March 1, Raymond J. Nolin III, 53, of Orleans, MA was arrested in Eastham after running from a Truro officer during a traffic stop. Nolin was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (car), reckless operation of a motor vehicle, speeding, lights violation, marked lanes violation and resisting arrest.
