The annual Cape and Plymouth Business 40 Under 40 Awards night will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cape Codder Resort in Hyannis.

The event honors "distinguished businesspeople under the age of 40", according to a release from Cape and Plymouth Business, the event's sponsor.

This year's emcee is the one and only Howie Carr. Carr, a prominent Boston radio personality, also writes a column for the Boston Herald and has penned three books about notorious mobster Whitey Bulger and his cohorts. His weekday radio show airs on WRKO Monday through Friday.

The 40 Under 40 Awards is presented in partnership with the Cape Cod Young Professionals and the South Shore Young Professionals. Nominees must live or work on the South Shore, in Plymouth County or on the Cape and Islands.

The Cape Codder Resort and Spa is at 1225 Iyanough Road, Hyannis.

Tickets for the event are $50 and registration is available online here.
