HARWICH - A naked Harwich man was taken into custody early Saturday morning after causing a ruckus in Harwich Center. According to a Harwich police release, officers responded to reports of a naked man "engaged in a lewd act on himself" outside of a resident's home. The resident had called police after first hearing noises, then responding to the doorbell to find the naked man outside.

As patrol officers searched the neighborhood around 1 a.m., they heard screaming coming from a second floor apartment. Whe officers climbed the stairs to the apartment, they found Joshua Brietzke, 20, of Harwich nude and sitting on the kitchen table.

The residents of the apartment woke when they heard noises and found Brietzke sitting on their kitchen table. They had reportedly left their door unlocked, police said.

Brietzke was taken into custody and transported to the Harwich Police Department where he was booked and charged with an open and gross act and unarmed burglary.  Brietzke was held overnight on $1,000 and bailed the following morning. He is scheduled for arraignment in Orleans District Court.

Brietzke and his mother and sister were arrested in 2010 and charged with allegedly operating a family marijuana growing business out of their Harwich home.
