Car crashes into Hyannis hotel Friday

HYANNIS - A housekeeper was reportedly injured when a car crashed into a room of the Days Inn Hotel at 867 Iyannough Road (Route 132) in Hyannis Friday morning. The crash occurred around 9:45 a.m.

The driver of the red Camry with New Jersey license plates has not be identified. The cause of the crash is under investigation by Barnstable police.

Hyannis EMTs escorted the unidentified housekeeper onto the ambulance and she was taken to Cape Cod Hospital. There were no other reported injuries.

A representative from the Town of Barnstable Building Department will be called in to determine the extent of damage to the building. The room is located at the front on the hotel on Route 132, to the right of the lobby.
