FALMOUTH - A school bus vs. pole crash on Thomas Landers Road in Falmouth at 9 a.m. Tuesday morning injured several school children. According to a fire official at the scene, nine young children were transported to Falmouth Hospital following the accident. None of the injuries are believed to be serious, according to Falmouth police.
The bus driver told responding officers that the driver of a white box truck pulled into his lane, forcing him to swerve and hit a utility pole. The utility pole was knocked over, blocking Thomas Landers Road in both directions.
According to Lt. Jeff Smith, police are searching for the driver of the white box truck. Anyone with any information about the driver is asked to contact Falmouth police at 508-457-2527.
The children on the bus are all students at Mullen Hall Elementary School in Falmouth.
Falmouth police and firefighters, along with State Troopers responded to the call. The road was closed while police investigated and the scene was cleared.
