Brewster police identify woman killed in single-car crash

Dennis woman died following Slough Road crash Tuesday night

BREWSTER - Brewster police have release the identity of a woman killed following a crash on Slough Road Tuesday night. According to Capt. Heath Eldredge, the victim of the fatal crash was 48-year-old Elizabeth Fairbanks of Dennis.

According to police, Ms. Fairbanks' car left the road around 8 p.m. Tuesday night crashing into a utility pole and a tree. Ms. Fairbanks was extricated from her vehicle and transported to Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis where she was pronounced dead.

Two dogs in the car with her at the time of the crash were transported to the CARE veterinary facility in South Dennis for treatment.
