Outer Cape cocaine investigation yields 12 grams, $17K in cash

TRURO - An investigation into cocaine distribution on the Outer Cape resulted in the arrest of two men Saturday. According to a Provincetown police release, detectives from the Provincetown, Truro and Eastham Police Departments executed a search warrant at the home of 41-year-old Wayne Dwight Allen at 12 Cranberry Lane in Truro.

Allen's 2008 GMC Acadia was searched at the same time. Detectives reportedly seized 12 grams of cocaine packaged for sale, electronics and drug packaging materials. $17,860 in cash was also confiscated, police said.

Allen and another man, 47-year-old Wayne Allen Stewart of Provincetown, were arrested and charged with cocaine distribution. Both men were held on $20,000 cash bail over the weekend and arraigned in Orleans District Court on Monday.
