Twenty-seven arrests, two drug overdoses, three OUIs and two OUI-drugs
Falmouth police activity for 12/17/14 to 1/8/15.

Over the 3-week period of Wednesday, December 17, 2014 to Thursday, January 8, 2015, the officers of the Falmouth Police Department responded to 1,367 for service. There were no logs available for 12/18-12/19 and 1/1-1/2.

During the three weeks, there were 8 domestic disturbances (one protective custody), 3 assault and battery/assault calls, 14 disorderly disturbances (2 arrests, one protective custody), 2 reports of harassment and 7 reports of threats being made. There were 17 warrant service attempts (9 arrests), 5 restraining order service attempts (3 in hand), 11 summons service attempts (4 in hand) and one harassment order service (one in hand). There were three restraining order violations reported. 

There were 17 reported larcenies, 8 residential break-ins, 7 motor vehicle/trailer break-ins and one commercial break-in. There were 7 reports of shoplifting (one arrest) and 2 reports of identity theft/fraud. One motor vehicle was recovered.

Officers assisted citizens on 40 occasions (one protective custody), the Falmouth Fire Department on 7 occasions and other police departments on 7 occasions. There were 103 alarms (one bylaw citation) and 3 drug law violations. Officers were called into keep the peace on 7 occasions. There were 6 reports of vandalism, 2 reports of trespassing, 17 suspicious persons and 15 suspicious vehicles.

There were 9 animal complaints, 10 loud noise complaints, 2 annoying phone call complaints, 2 dirt bike/ATV complaints, one unwanted guest and 4 reports of gunshots fired.

There were 3 medical emergencies and 3 drug overdoes. There were 2 unattended deaths. There were 5 suicide threats/attempts, one missing person, one mental illness/Section 12 call and 12 intoxicated person calls (2 protective custody) Officers conducted welfare checks on 26 occasions.

Ninety-nine motorists were pulled over, 27 citations were issued and 3 people were arrested. There were an additional 40 motor vehicle-related calls (6 citations) There were 19 parking violation calls (2 tows, 5 citations). There were 18 reports of erratic driving (2 arrests).

There were 27 arrests:

  • On Tuesday, January 6 at 9:39 p.m., Kirk M. Bater, 30, of 79 Regis Road in East Falmouth, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop at Sandwich Road and Teaticket Highway and charged with two counts of possession of a Class B substance.
  • On Tuesday, January 6 at 1:38 a.m., Kane Julius Washington, 21, of 7 Trotting Lane in East Falmouth, was arrested during an area check on Pinehurst Road on an open warrant.
  • On Monday, January 5 at 8:21 p.m., Trystan K. Sylvester-Martin, 30, and Travis J. Martin, 32, both of 579 Sandwich Road, Apt. 21 in Falmouth, were arrested during a warrant service at that address on open warrants.
  • On Monday, January 5 at 5:09 p.m., John J. Stanco, 34, of 1174 East Falmouth Highway in Falmouth, was arrested following a motor vehicle crash at East Falmouth Highway and Central Ave. and charged with OUI-drugs, marked lanes violation and operating to endanger.
  • On Tuesday, December 30 at 1:16 p.m, Amanda Catherine Baker, 22, of 47 Summer Street in Gardner, was arrested during an attempt to locate call on Depot Ave. on three open warrants.
  • On Monday, December 29 at 9:22 p.m., Arthur Bouvier, 59, of One Alden Lane in Mashpee, was arrested during an erratic motor vehicle call at Brick Kiln Road and Sophie Lane and charged with OUI-liquor, marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
  • On Monday, December 29 at 5:30 p.m., Jeremi C. DeGrace, 35, of 110 Old Barnstable Road in Falmouth, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Teaticket Highway on an open arrest warrant.
  • On Monday, December 29 at 3:23 p.m., Michael Papineau, 27, homeless/Danielson, CT, was arrested during an attempt to locate call on Trotting Park Road on a fugitive from justice court warrant. Papineau was arrested with Whittington, see below.
  • On Monday, December 29 at 3:23 p.m., Joshua Whittington, 22, homeless/Danielson, CT, was arrested during an attempt to locate call on Trotting Park Road on a fugitive from justice court warrant. Whittington was arrested with Papineau, see above.
  • On Friday, December 26 at 11:49 a.m., Louis William Mitchell, 38, of 149 Warren Ave., Apt. A in Boston, was arrested during a warrant service on Main Street on two open warrants. We was also charged with two counts of carrying a dangerous weapon.
  • On Thursday, December 25 at 8:29 p.m., Robert Steven Pacheco, 61, of 54 Cedar Street in East Falmouth, was arrested during a disorderly disturbance on Alphonse Street and charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
  • On Wednesday, December 24 at 1:32 a.m., Joseph Michael Deneen, 31, of 167 Percival Road in Teaticket, was arrested following a motor vehicle accident on Shorewood Drive and charged with OUI-liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of property damage and resisting arrest.
  • On Tuesday, December 23 at 1:42 p.m., Kathleen M. Bailey, 56, of 11 Renee Lane in East Falmouth, was arrested on Teaticket Highway during a shoplifting call and charged with shoplifting by asportation (3rd offense).
  • On Tuesday, December 23 at 11:58 a.m., David Lamont Newton, 30, of 15 Harvard Drive in Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address on an open warrant.
  • On Tuesday, December 23 at 8:57 a.m., Brandon Lee Peterson, 22, of 16 Woodview Drive, Apt. C in Falmouith, was arrested during an area check of Perch Pond Circle and Maravista Ave. on an arrest warrant.
  • On Monday, December 22 at 5:49 p.m., John Manuel Estrella, 33, of 145 Tanglewood Drive in East Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address on an open warrant.
  • On Monday, December 22 at 5:48 p.m., Jonathan K. Frye, 25, of 111 Pinecrest Beach Drive in East Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address and charged with distribution of a Class D substance. 
  • On Sunday, December 21 at 6:21 p.m., Richard Jason Baker, 33, of 11 O'Donnell Ave. in Falmouth, was arrested during a disorderly disturbance call on Teaticket Highway on four open warrants.
  • On Friday, December 19 at 11:44 p.m., Dawn Reisbig, 49, of 89 Pheasant Lane in Falmouth, was arrested during an erratic motor vehicle call at Maravista Ave. and Oak Street and charged with OUI-liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of property damage.
  • On Friday, December 19 at 11:40 a.m., Michael C. Gayhart, 30, of 64 Heritage Circle, Apt. 1 in Falmouth, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Teaticket Highway and charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws and possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute. Gayhart was arrested with Purdy, see below.
  • On Friday, December 19 at 11:40 a.m., Elizabeth A. Purdy, 22, of 64 Heritage Circle, Apt. 1 in Falmouth, was arrested during a motor vehicle stop on Teaticket Higway and charged with conspiracy to violate drug laws, possession of a Class A substance with intent to distribute and possession of a Class B substance.
  • On Wednesday, December 17 at 8:14 p.m., Douglas C. Brown, 44, of 80 Pattee Road in East Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address on an open warrant.
  • On Wednesday, December 17 at 8:14 p.m., Lawrence Matchem III, 26, of 80 Pattee Road in East Falmouth, was arrested during a warrant service at that address on an open warrant.  
  • On Wednesday, December 17 at 3:05 p.m., George E. Maddox III, 40, of 9 Hayway Drive in East Falmouth, was arrested during an attempt to locate call on Maravista Ave. Ext. on a warrant.
  • On Wednesday, December 17 at 1:14 p.m., Martin T. Healy, 46, of Amesbury, was arrested during an area check on Ter Heun Drive and charged with OUI-drugs, marked lanes violation and possession of heroin.
  • On Wednesday, December 17 at 9:42 a.m., Douglas M. Hathaway, 24, of 11 Pond View Drive in Mashpee, was arrested during a warrant service on Teaticket Highway.
