Some Cape students back to school Friday

Still plenty of snow to clear, most Cape schools remain closed

Thursday was another snow clean up day and most Cape schools were closed. As a result of the slow-moving snow removal process, some Cape schools will remain closed through Friday. 

This will mark the fourth snow day for some Cape students since the Blizzard of 2015 left its mark.

There will be no classes at the following schools:

  • Barnstable Public Schools are closed on Friday
  • Cape Cod Academy is closed on Friday
  • Cape Cod Regional Technical School is closed on Friday
  • Dennis-Yarmouth Public Schools are closed on Friday
  • Falmouth Academy is closed on Friday
  • Falmouth Public Schools are closed on Friday
  • Mashpee Public Schools are closed on Friday
  • Sandwich Public Schools are closed on Friday
  • Sturgis Charter School is closed on Friday
  • Upper Cape Regional Technical School is closed on Friday
  • Wareham Public Schools are closed on Friday

Monomoy Regional, Nauset Regional, Truro Central and Provincetown Elementary students will be attending classes on Friday. Cape Cod Community College will also be open on Friday.

School administrators and town officials ask drivers to be mindful of the narrow roadways and high snow banks in areas where students may be walking and/or getting on and off the bus.
