During the 7-day period of Monday, February 2, 2015 through Monday, February 9, 2015, the officers of the Yarmouth Police Department responded to 694 calls for service.
Over the course of the week there were 2 domestic disturbances (one arrest), 4 reports of harassment and one threat to commit a crime. There was one general disturbance and officers were called into keep the peace on 4 occasions. There were 17 suspicious motor vehicles, 5 reports of suspicious activity and 6 suspicious persons (one arrest). There were 2 warrant service attempts (one arrest) and 10 restraining order service attempts (5 made).
There were 4 larcenies, one robbery and 3 motor vehicle break-ins. One motor vehicle was recovered. Officers investigated one open door/window and responded to 24 alarms (12 commercial, 11 residential and one hold-up/panic).
Officers assisted the public on 6 occasions, other public agencies on 8 occasions and the town's Department of Natural Resources on 6 occasions. Officers were wanted on 13 occasions (one arrest). There was one drug offense and one reported alcohol license violation. There was one compliance check conducted and one fishing inspection. There was one fire and one K9 deployment.
There were 11 medical problems, 2 psychological/emotional calls, one suicidal person and 3 drug overdoses. Officers conducted 6 welfare checks. There were 6 intoxicated persons calls (one arrest, one protective custody and one car towed). There were two missing persons reported, one was returned home to their family. One officer was injured during a suspicious person call.
There were 4 noise complaints, one animal complaint, one report of dumping/littering, 4 reports of an injured/sick animal, one juvenile complaint and one civil complaint.
Seventy motorists were pulled over (9 summons issued, 2 warnings issued, 3 citations issued and 3 arrests). There were 22 other motor vehicle-related calls including disabled vehicles (one criminal summons issued, one summons issued). There were 9 parking offense calls and 10 motor vehicle complaints (one arrest).
