People for Cats: Meet Smokey

A striking dilute tortie, only 3 years old
Smokey is a striking dilute tortie with exotic green eyes. PFC photo.

Smokey is a striking dilute domestic shorthaired tortoiseshell who sports a soft marbled gray and orange coat. She is 3 years old with lovely green eyes that have a way of making her look a little mysterious. Smokey is very friendly and has the charming habit of growling as if muttering under her breath for no apparent reason. She eagerly greets visitors to her suite and likes to trail around their legs hoping they will give her a little attention and perhaps a scratch or two behind the ears! Smokey is good natured and affectionate and would be a good cat for any family. She came to PFC along with her sister Daisy when their former owner moved. Daisy just got adopted and Smokey is now looking for her own “fur-ever” home. The girls were not bonded so we are adopting them out singly.

If you would like to visit with Smokey or some of our other equally lovely cats, come in to the shelter at 44 Beagle Lane in Teaticket. We are open to the public on Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or call our hotline for an appointment. Hotline: 508-540-5654, press #1 if you have cat related issues, questions or for further information about People For Cats, or press #2 if you need financial assistance for veterinary care for your cat.
