Wellfleet man arrested for assault with dangerous weapon and more...

Provincetown, Wellfleet and Truro Police coordinated arrest

From Wellfleet Police this afternoon:

On Monday March 13, 2017 at approximately 10:00 pm Wellfleet PD were dispatched to Fred Bell Way to investigate an assault and battery. Upon the arrival of the officers they meet up with a 44 year old white male with injuries consistent with an assault and battery. Wellfleet Rescue Squad arrived on location and treated the 44 year old male and transported to the individual to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

After a brief investigation the Wellfleet Police obtained an arrest warrant for 30 year old white male from Pine Point Road in Wellfleet charging him with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Aggravated Assault and Battery. With the assistance of the Provincetown Truro, and Wellfleet Police Departments, the party was arrested after a traffic stop in Truro on Saturday March 18, 2017. He is currently being held at the Barnstable County House of Correction pending arraignment at the Orleans District Court on Monday.
