Friends of Harwich Council on Aging Announce Changes

New faces join group

President Jack Brown announced two recent appointments to Friends of the Harwich Council on Aging board.  Linda Johnson returns to the board after a short sabbatical; she will concentrate on socialization projects for seniors in concert with other Board members.  Christina Joyce also joins the non-profit and will focus on membership and budget development. They join the other Board members:  Nicole Muller, Joanne Brown, Richard Waystack and Andrea Terney.  The Friends’ mission is to provide support to Harwich’s Council on Aging by providing funding to assist the Council on Aging in providing programs, counseling and assistance for the benefit of the Senior Citizens of the Town of Harwich. In addition, the Friends support Harwich’s Seniors in the areas of nutrition, socialization, transportation, providing certain types of medical equipment and emergency assistance. welcomes thoughtful comments and the varied opinions of our readers.
