For a 3rd year, Clancy’s Restaurant in Dennis Port hosted the Teddy Bear Breakfast for Independence House and there were no disappointments. Along with a full breakfast buffet and waffle decorating station the children enjoyed, approximately 100 in attendance were awed when Santa made his entrance. Standing at approximately 6’5” tall, Barnstable State Representative Timothy Whelan, reprising his role as Santa for the 3rd year and possibly the tallest Santa ever, dazzled the children with personal conversations and photo opportunities. Santa’s elves were close by to present each child with a brand new teddy bear sponsored by the Independence House Board of Directors.
Donna Giberti, Director of Development and Marketing for Independence said, “We are grateful to Linda and Bill Zammer and the entire Clancy’s Restaurant family for their support to make this happen each year. There is nothing more wonderful than to see a building full of children with smiles from ear to ear. It’s a wonderful gift for the children, and so heartwarming.”
