CCToday Cat Countdown to Christmas - December 24, 2017

Charming Charlotte...
Beautiful Charlotte is the consummate diva. (CCToday photo)

Following on the "Critters for Christmas" program at Wild Care Cape Cod, we decided to let the office cats here at Cape Cod Today count down to Christmas...

Our final entry for the season is beautiful, charming Charlotte.  This beautiful girl is a six-year-old Maine Coon mix.  Charlotte came to stay with the office cat colony when she was too active for a couple of elderly cats at home.  She spent some months in the office so the senior kitties could live their final months in peace.  After the last of them crossed the Rainbow Bridge, Charlotte returned home to her beloved Albert - the sweet American Blue that raised her from a kitten.

While on her "vacation" at the office, Charlotte was a shy girl.  However she made fast friends with Nigel and Julius.  Both boys enjoyed having a young, athletic kitty to join them in their daily rampage.

Much like stately Alexandra, Charlotte is a one-person cat and a diva.  Always "perfect" in her appearance, Charlotte only lets one person touch her with any constency.  She will pretend to be glad to see others if they offer food, but spurns them as soon as she receives whatever tribute they bring.

Charlotte has a strong prey drive.  She enjoys string toys, food puzzles and "hunting" other cats.

The CCToday office cats were not sorry to see Charlotte return home a few weeks ago.  Back at the ranch, dear old Albert - who had grown fat in the company of sedentary 15 and 17 year old cats - has lost weight and is returning to his athletic self now that he has Charlotte romping with him once again.

Merry Christmas to all from the CCToday cat outpost and to all a good night...
