Original story

Barnstable Police K9 Foundation provides the following update on Yarmouth Police K9 Nero, seriously wounded when his partner Yarmouth K9 Officer Sean Gannon was shot to death on duty...

We wanted to give you an update on Nero. He is progressing with his recovery each day.

Today he walked down the hallway and even ate a little on his own.

We are still providing 24hr Law Enforcement coverage for him. Peter McClelland remains by Nero’s side and we are so grateful to him.

Thank you all for your continued support.
