Letter: Orleans Man Starting "Group Which Opposes Sharks on the Outer Cape"

from Karl Hoefer of Orleans

Letter to the Editor:

In a recent poll of Cape Cod Today readers, more than half of voters said they would like to have either seals or sharks culled.

My personal opinion is that both actions should be taken.  The other option of staying out of the water is absurd to me.

Who would let a dangerous predator live near their dog or cat?

Are we so insane that we let sharks kill people on the Cape?

I like animals as much as anyone, but this has gone too far.  The seal population has gone unchecked and not surprisingly the Cape is hit with more and more sharks each year.

I am starting a group which opposes sharks on the Outer Cape.

Send me an email to:   [email protected].
