Out Late with Diana Di Gioia in W. Barnstable for Free Concert October 26th

Roots rock and blues meet witty, compelling storytelling in the songs of Out Late’s Diana Di Gioia.  Diana and her band will celebrate their third CD, “Nevermore”,  with a free concert on Friday, October 26th, at 7:30pm, at West Parish in West Barnstable, as part of the Parish’s Original Music Concert Series.

A three time finalist in the Cape’s Eventide Songwriting Competition, Di Gioia describes her music as combining “word nerd lyrical skills with rock ‘n’ roll energy”.

The band features Di Gioia on vocals and rhythm guitar, J Hagenbuckle on lead guitar,  Melody Masi on backing vocals and Peter Giordano on bass. Together they create an eclectic sound, with influences from surf to rockabilly to swing blues.

The Cape Cod Times calls her songs “Finely honed narratives with telling details”. The Outer Cape’s Payomet Center for the Arts says, “Diana and her band bring youthful energy, exuberant sound and fun storytelling to her original body of songs.”

Out Late has played the Cape Cod Women’s Music Festival, opened a Payomet Center for the Arts show at Provincetown’s Town Hall, been featured on American Public Radio’s “This Way Out” and WCAI’s “The Point” , and has performed at First Night Celebrations, Festivals and benefits from Sandwich to Provincetown.
