Car Versus Utility Pole in Yarmouth

Last night at approximately 7pm, Yarmouth Firefighters responded to Buck Island Road in the area of the Water Department for a report of a Motor Vehicle Accident involving power lines.

On arrival, a single car was found to be on the guardrail and one telephone pole with both primary and secondary electric wires on the ground. Eversource was called to the scene and Buck Island Road was closed for two hours while crews secured power and the car removed.

Only one occupant was in the vehicle and transported to Cape Cod Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
