Adoption fees for all small pets—including rabbits, small birds, ferrets, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, rats, mice and chinchillas—will be waived all day on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the MSPCA-Angell’s three adoption centers in Boston, Methuen and Centerville on Cape Cod.
The MSPCA is currently housing over 200 small pets—including more than 60 pet rabbits—enough to fill the available cage space and spark an urgent call for adopters. And adopters can save anywhere from $10, the standard hamster adoption fee, to $75 for rabbits, all day on Saturday, Nov. 10.
Many people don’t realize this but the MSPCA takes in far more rabbits every year than puppies. Rabbits make wonderful and easy-to-keep pets and can be trained to use the litterbox, play with toys and come when called. Attached are a few of the adoptable rabbits, and other pets, who’ll be available this Saturday. And below is some more information.
