State Police: 29 Grams of Cocaine Seized in Barnstable

Suspect held on $10,000 bail, pending arraignment...

State Police recovered 29 grams of Cocaine after a motor vehicle stop on Route 6 in Barnstable.

This morning at about 12:45 a.m., Trooper Edward Alldredge stopped a gray Ford Fusion for motor vehicle violations.

The operator was identified as JOEL WILLIAMSON, 36 of Hyannis. As a result of an investigation, WILLIAMSON was asked to exit the vehicle and found to be in possession of 29 grams of cocaine.

WILLIAMSON was placed under arrest and transported to the Yarmouth State Police Barracks where he was booked and held on $10,000 bail until his arraignment today in Barnstable District Court.

JOEL WILLIAMSON was charged with the following offenses:

  • Trafficking in Cocaine;
  • Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle;
  • Speeding; and
  • Marked Lanes Violation
