"Suspicious activity" regarding your social security account...

From the Chatham Police Department:

CPD CRIME PREVENTION ALERT

Latest telephone scam: A robotic sounding voice has been making calls to residents informing them that there has been “suspicious activity” with their Social Security number and your Social Security account has been suspended. You are then given a number to call where you will be asked to provide your SS#.

DO NOT CALL BACK OR GIVE ANYONE YOUR SS#. This is a scam.
