From the Brewster Police Department (verbatim):

This is Connor. Last Tuesday (July 9th) Connor was on his way home from a bike ride, heading north on Millstone Road. He was likely enjoying the summer evening, and possibly thinking about his new adventure coming up this fall. Connor was recently accepted at Fitchburg State, where he was going to pursue a technology degree to chase one of his passions, video game development.

Unfortunately, in the final stretch of his ride, Connor was struck from behind by a motorist and was seriously injured. As of this morning his family reports that Connor miraculously, and with the help of doctors and nurses at Tufts, has come out of his coma. However he remains in a precarious, but stable condition. The future is unknown, but he continues to battle. He is able to communicate with a thumbs up and kissed his mom's cheek.

The Brewster Police Department is still working hard to identify the motorist who was involved in the crash.
