Two Swimming Alerts for Bourne:
1. PICTURE LAKE - The freshwater body is closed for swimming due to a suspected high bacteria count. It is likely this closure will remain in effect for several days. After passing water quality reports are received which meet the MassDPH guidelines, this posting will be removed and be open for swimming and bathing.

2. MONUMENT BEACH - As of August 12, 2019, a public health advisory is posted at this Town bathing beach to inform the public of reports of suspected cases of Swimmer's Itch from persons who have bathed at this beach over the past few weeks. The beach is not closed because there are no specific guidelines in the State Sanitary Code for this.
