WORCESTER, MA - The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that Jason Lages, of Edgartown, has earned a spot on the 2019 Assumption Men's Soccer team. Lages, Class of 2020, is competing during the Greyhounds' fall season.
Assumption Men's Soccer had one of it's best seasons in recent years, with new head coach Chris Payne leading the team to an 8-7-2 record to conclude the season. The Hounds entered the Northeast-10 Tournament as the No. 5 seed, their best since 2000. Despite losing a close game in the quarterfinals, this was their first winning season since 2009. Ruben Faria '22, Sebastien Jimenez '22 and Connor Willis '22 were all named to the All-Rookie Team while Jason Lages '20 and Nicholas Cardona '21 were named to the NE10 All-Conference Second Team.
