Letter - Concerns Inclusion of Illegals in US Census

from Adam Lange of Brewster

Letter to the editor:

I attended the 2020 Census event at Barnstable Town Hall on Nov 13th. It confirmed how misguided our state government has grow, and reminded me how Donald Trump got elected in 2016.

Secretary of State William Galvin told a packed room about his efforts to count everyone in next year's census. He highlighted that illegal aliens should be included in the count since their information cannot be shared with other government agencies (aka law enforcement).

The U.S. Census determines who receives a finite amount of federal funding & congressional seats. When Massachusetts government officials scheme to inflate  their numbers by including the estimated 270,000 illegal aliens they have created a sanctuary for, it siphons off money and representation from real Americans in law-abiding states. When congressional seats & electoral college votes are unfairly distributed, the 14th Amendments "one person, one vote" standard is violated.

This lawless logic promoted by liberal state officials puts Americans last, and most likely will result in President Trump's reelection in 2020.
