Dear editor,

I read with great dismay in December 11 th Cape Cod Times that three (3) of the worst intersections in ALL of Cape Cod (as compiled by the Cape Cod Commission !!) surround the parcel of land being considered for Tractor Supply Hyannis.   How is this even possible ??

The Cape Cod Commission has compiled a listing of the 50 WORST INTERSECTIONS on Cape Cod.   Coincidently the Number 7, Number 2, and Number 18 are within ONE HALF MILE of the proposed Tractor Supply Project.   (Number 2 is far worse than Number 42). So why is the Commission accepting gross misrepresentations of Traffic comparisons with Leicester and Millbury when their own files contain the ACCURATE STORY of Traffic in the area ??   Again, I sincerely hope the CCC immediately REJECTS this very inappropriate proposed TSC project . There IS significant reason for great concern for public safety.   Please email the Cape Cod Commission at [email protected] to express your traffic concerns.

Within half mile of proposed TSC Project:

No. 7:   Route 132 (lyannough Road) at Bearses Way, Barnstable. 98 crashes

No. 2:   Route 28 (Falmouth Road) and Bearses Way, Barnstable. 153 crashes.

No. 18: Route 28 (Falmouth Road) and Pitchers Way, Barnstable. 52 crashes.

Within ONE mile of proposed TSC Project:

No. 17: Route 132 (lyannough Road) at Independence Drive, Barnstable. 55 crashes.

No. 9:   Route 132 (lyannough Road) at Cape Cod Mall/Capetown Plaza, Barnstable. 80 crashes.
