PFLAG Cape Cod to Offer $2,000 Scholarship

For a high school senior on Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard or Nantucket...

PFLAG Cape Cod is offering a $2,000 scholarship to a high school senior who will be graduating in 2020 from a Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard or Nantucket high school. To qualify, the student must have demonstrated support and advocacy for the LGBTQ community and be enrolled in an institution of higher learning in the fall of 2020.

PFLAG Cape Cod is a non-profit organization that provides support, education and advocacy to parents, families, friends, allies and members of the LGBTQ community through monthly support meetings, community events, and legislative engagement. Since 2003, the organization has awarded over $61,000 to high school seniors who have had a positive impact in their schools and/or communities.

Applications are available from the student’s high school Guidance Department, GSA/Diversity Club Advisor, and online at www.pflagcapecod.org. Completed applications must be submitted to the student’s Guidance Department, along with any accompanying materials, no later than Friday, March 27, 2020.
