Mashpee Firefighters Prevent Garage Fire from Spreading to House

Mashpee firefighters responded to a residential fire at 8 p.m. Thursday.  

Upon arrival, firefighters observed fire in a two-car garage attached to a colonial style home at 25 Redwood Circle.  Firefighters were able to stop the fire from spreading to the residence.

Mutual aid was called from Cotuit, Sandwich, COMM, Falmouth and Joint Base Cape Cod fire departments.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.  Red Cross rendered assistance to the occupants of the home.
