WEST HARWICH, MA – Cape Cod Theatre Company/ Harwich Junior Theatre (CCTC/HJT) will present WINTER VACATION MAGIC! with The Amazing Richard & Company, and RUMPELSTILTSKIN by Dream Tale Puppets, during February school vacation week.
WINTER VACATION MAGIC! -- a sizzling show of magic, music and comedy -- will delight ages 3 to 103, especially when kids become magicians on stage. The show includes an indoor snowstorm, a floating snowball, comedy sword box, a levitating kid, and more. Shows are at 2 p.m., February 19, 20, and 21. The shows each last 1 hour and 15 minutes. All seats are $15.
Dream Tale Puppets will perform an interpretation of the well-known fairy tale RUMPELSTILTSKIN for children 4 years old and older and their families, on Saturday, February 22, at 11 a.m. For all seats, admission is $12 at the door.
RUMPELSTILTSKIN follows the fairy tale of a girl whose father, the Miller, makes up stories about her unusual talents. After he brags to the king, his daughter has to spin straw into gold or lose her life! The young heroine faces many challenges. The audience has a chance to explore the nature of luck and choice, as the girl balances between losing hope and gaining trust, while also gaining a sense of self-worth. This 40-minute show features five skillfully crafted tabletop puppets. Puppeteers Jacek Zuzanski and Norina Reif, will each perform a number of roles as they bring the tale to life.
