What's open and closed on Presidents' Day?

Today is Presidents' Day.  It is also the start of school vacation. .

In observance of Presidents' Day, many services and organizations are closed/unavailable.

  • Municipal and federal offices
  • United States Post Office
  • Public libraries
  • Most banks

Open on Monday, February 18, 2019

  • Restaurants and bars
  • Convenience stores, gas stations and retail stores
  • Movie theaters

The federal government established Presidents' Day in honor of President George Washington in 1879. It is celebrated the third Monday in February.
