Statement from Sean Rausch, candidate for GOP State Committee for the Plymouth & Barnstable District:

Sean Rausch, candidate for Republican State Committee from the Plymouth and Barnstable District Issued the following statement about the lack of any funding for new bridges over Cape Cod Canal in the recent federal budget announced recently.

“With the recent news that the President’s budget proposal did not include funds for replacement of the both the Bourne and Sagamore bridges, it clearly shows the abject failure of Ed Markey, Elizabeth Warren and Congressman Bill Keating (D- Bourne)”, Rausch stated,  “One of the most important jobs of a legislator is to be a successful advocate for the needs of your constituents, and here to make the case for the importance of replacing these almost 100 year old bridges.  Unfortunately, our two Senators and local Congressman are so focused on attacking the administration or running for President that they are hurting the very people that they are supposed to represent and advocate for.  I encourage everyone to remember that in November and Vote Republican to make sure that we have actual representation.”

The election for Republican State Committee will be held on Presidential Primary Day, March 3rd.  Sean Rausch will be the third name listed on the ballot in the towns of Sandwich, Falmouth, Bourne, Plymouth, Kingston and Pembroke.
