Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill is pleased to announce that the always popular series of complimentary workshops for those 60 and older will once again run this coming October at Castle Hill. We ask that those interested become a member of Castle Hill.

July 15th and August 12th fairs to be held at Woods Hole Waterfront Park this summer

The Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) is seeking vendors for two summer craft fairs it is sponsoring on Friday, July 15, 2011 and Friday, August 12, 2011 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM in Waterfront Park, Water Street, Woods Hole.

There is a $35 space donation for each date, payable in full with registration.

Deadline for submissions is May 20th

Popular annual arts festival to be held August 19-21

The 40th Festival of the Arts exhibitor application is now available online at www.capecodcreativearts.org. Sponsored by the Creative Arts Center, the festival will take place at Chase Park in Chatham, August 19, 20 and 21, rain or shine.

Applications must be postmarked by April 1st.

Jurors results will be announced around the 15th of April.

Many positions and opportunities available

Payomet Performing Arts Center is seeking volunteers for their 2011 season. There are many positions available that will give volunteers the opportunity to see some great shows and meet some wonderful people.

Although the majority of events are scheduled in the spring and summer, there are events planned for almost every month this year.

The Dennis-Harwich Lions Club is seeking crafters interested in participating in the 22nd Annual Dennis-Harwich Lions Arts and Crafts Fair this July.

The fair will be held at Brooks Park in Harwich Center on Saturday, July 30 and Sunday, July 31.

Booths are 12' x 10' and cost $125.

To celebrate the Cape Cod Museum of Art’s 30th anniversary, the museum invites the residents of Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts to a series of open houses throughout the year, different months, different towns.

An interactive art exhibit of 47 established Cape Cod artists

Child-friendly exhibit sure to be fun for all ages

The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod will present a free, major regional art exhibit, SO BIG!, at the Cotuit Center for the Arts from January 8 to February 12, 2011.  This free exhibit is the fifth annual regional exhibit presented by the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, and will feature 47 established Cape Cod artists.

The Cape Cod Museum of Art announces several changes to its Board of Trustees. In 2010, Thomas J. Lucey, of Winchester, retired as President and moved to the position of Chairman of the Board. Thomas N. George, of Yarmouth Port, succeeded him as President.  Mr. George, who served as a Representative to the Great and General Court from 1997 – 2004, maintains a legal practice and has real estate interests in the region.

Holiday Bazaar to take place on Thursday, December 2nd

The Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) is seeking vendors for a holiday bazaar it is sponsoring on Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Swope Conference Center, 5 North Street in Woods Hole. There is a $35 space donation, payable in full with registration.

Past bazaars have featured the work of fine artists and skilled artisans from surrounding communities and have included photography, jewelry, pottery, and sculpture.

Art & craft fair to be held on November 6th

The Barnstable Senior Center in conjunction with HyArts is holding its first ever juried Art & Craft Fair at the Barnstable Senior Center. They are seeking artists, jewelers, potters and crafters to participate.
