Christine's Weekend Picks: August 31 through September 3

As I look over all the awesome options for the upcoming weekend, I can’t help but to wish we were still living in an area where Cape Cod was literally the place we went daily (as a resident of South Plymouth I was able to make the best of both worlds!) I’m hoping that we have great weather this weekend (despite the forecast) because there is just so much to do. Although, this week there’s also a lot to do indoors! Here are my picks!

August is zipping by and it continues to be hot and humid! There’s so so much going on this weekend! I hope you will find something fun and exciting to do! Here are the picks for the weekend!

I am sorry to have missed you all last week with the Picks. It has been a challenging couple of weeks for me and my family as we moved recently, to Hopkinton, MA and have dealt with many adjustments, particularly for my little ones at home. I hope you all had a wonderful Fourth of July Holiday!

So June is zipping by us. It is already Father’s Day Weekend! I hope we have the wonderful; weather we’ve been having the past few weekends, and that it offers you all the opportunity to spend some time outdoors enjoying your dads this Sunday!

On Friday, June 15 2012:

It was rainy this week, and I know I’m not the only mom who had a sick child at home—so I hope everyone’s feeling better by the weekend. June is here! The weather forecast promises sunshine and temperatures in the seventies so here’s hoping you all get the opportunity to get out with your families to enjoy all that Cape Cod has to offer! After all the rain and feeling stir crazy with the kids at home, sunshine feels like a blessing.

Here’s hoping Mother’s Day weekend was as special as mine was last week. This weekend we have been promised sun! So get out of your homes and enjoy all that the summer has to offer on Cape Cod, because we’re getting a sunny preview this weekend!

Here’s hoping everyone had a wonderful Easter. I know that my little ones loved starting the day with an Easter egg hunt and gorging themselves on candy. I spent most of the day feeling guilty for letting my kids consume so much candy but hey—Easter only happens once a year! The challenge is staying away from all the left-over candy!!!

I love spring—it’s just such a hopeful time of the year here in New England. The temperature has been a bit of a mixed bag, but today, it was just gorgeous—water gleaming on the canal as I crossed the Sagamore Bridge. Just gorgeous. It makes me feel so grateful to have lived with Cape Cod a real, integral part of their early years. We are lucky to live in such a beautiful place.

What incredible spring weather we have had! Oh happy spring!!! Enjoy time outside with the kids before we get more cold in our lives. A spring teaser is what this week has been!!! I wish it would last longer but I am certainly not complaining!

Here’s hoping everyone managed to have a healthy February vacation that was sickness-free. I know that mine wasn’t the only family plagued by some form of sickness during the week. We’re all still recovering from how exhausted we all were for what seemed like an eternity!

Here’s hoping everyone had a great Valentine’s Day! It’s been a really mild winter and as February vacation approaches, there’s a great deal for you all to do as a family during this next week. I am going to keep the focus on this weekend in this particular weekend picks article, and I have a lot for you all to ponder and plan coming right up in my February Vacation Special Feature! Here’s wishing you all a great weekend.

Here’s hoping everyone is having a great week as the weekend approaches! The new year has been feeling like a whirlwind of activity for my family and me and it’s felt like there’s been no opportunity to just sit back and take it all in…there’s been little opportunity for fun and goal setting and all those new years’ planning we manage to do to start it off right...
