South Sectional Football Finals; Pro Picks

Barnstable Eliminated, D-Y Still In It, Pats Play On MNF...

11/17 1:00 ET At Tampa Bay PK Atlanta 43.5

If the Falcons are going to have a good game this season, this may be their best chance.

Atlanta, 24-21

11/17 1:00 ET NY Jets -1 At Buffalo 41

If the Bills ever moved to Toronto- and it is a frequent rumor- Rob Ford would be their biggest fan... and, as we all know, he eats plenty of buffalo at home. Also, would it be classy if Toronto named their new team the Buffalo? I think "Buffalo" is both singular and plural, I need to ask Professor Warren.

Buffalo, 13-12

11/17 1:00 ET Detroit -2.5 At Pittsburgh 45.5

It's very tempting to predict Detroit turning back into Detroit and coughing up the NFC north in the twilight iof the season. The Lions traditionally suck, so this would be a fair bet, especially against a traditionally good Pittsburgh squad.

Pittsburgh, 20-17

11/17 1:00 ET At Philadelphia -4.5 Washington 53

I see this as being similar to the second New England/Miami game, the one that followed the blowout loss where the Fish introduced a gimmick offense. New England had a little time to figure out the Wildcat, and avenged their destruction. Same thing happens here.

Philly, 31-14

11/17 4:05 ET San Diego -1.5 At Miami 45.5

For a team with such a culture of bullying, Miami doesn't actually push the other teams around that well. By the way, kids... just to clear thins up on the matter.... the only time a white guy can say "n**ger" to a black guy with any honor at all is if he is holding a second white guy by the throat with a fist raised, and he turns to black guy he is sticking up for and says, "Did this guy just call you a n**ger?" This even applies to white guys with a ghetto pass.... notice that Eminem never drops the N Bomb.

In any group of people with any class at all, the white guys on the team should have handled Richie Incognito situation before the victim got too upset. Miami is a death ship.

San Diego, 24-17

11/17 1:00 ET At Chicago -3 Baltimore 43

It seems that Ray Lewis was scaring a bad team into perennial playoff contention. They should make him the coach, now that he is retired.

Baltimore, 14-10

11/17 1:00 ET At Cincinnati -6.5 Cleveland 41

Cincy is very vulnerable on defense for this second Battle Of Ohio.

Cleveland, 17-14

11/17 1:00 ET At Houston -9 Oakland 41

With a chump at QB, injured running backs and looking at a lost season, I see the Texicans having trouble scoring 9 points total, let alone winning by 9.

Houston, 7-3

11/17 1:00 ET Arizona -8 At Jacksonville 40.5

"Jacksonville won last week" could very easily become "Jacksonville won last season" with the passage of just a little time... or even "Jacksonville won once."

Arisona, 20-13

11/17 8:30 ET At Denver -7.5 Kansas City 49.5

Denver is a serious contender, and Kansas City was the worst team in the NFL last year. That fact shows up today. I will add that Denver could pull a Belichick, come out with a vanilla game plan, lose a meaningless November game, and then destroy KC in January. Call that a dark horse bet, and it is one I will not choose to make.

Denver, 47-21

11/17 4:25 ET At Seattle -12.5 Minnesota 46

To make things worse, Seattle may have former Viking speedster Percy Harvin back for this game.

Seattle, 28-13

11/17 4:25 ET At New Orleans -3 San Francisco 48

As good as Colin Kaepernick can look, you never want to un an od=ffense where the best way to defend it is "Make the quarterback throw the ball."

New Orleans, 34-10

11/17 4:25 ET At NY Giants -4 Green Bay 41

The injury to Aaron Rogers frees him up to do more Discount Double Check commercials. The DDC is actually a stolen move, taken from a common wrestling gesture where the grappler thinks he should have the championship belt.

NYG, 10-9

Monday Night Football Line
11/18 8:40 ET At Carolina -2.5 New England 46

Our sole MNF game of the year.

New England, 30-24
