Doug the Quahog Predicts the Summer

Quahog Day on Cape Cod and time for Doug the Quahog to predict our summer weather. Yesterday at the Flying Bridge Restaurant in Falmouth the weather was sunny and cool as Doug entered the harbour escorted by the harbour patrol boat and a crowd was eagerly awaiting his arrival at dockside. It's a tradition that has been going on for seven years now and is the launch to a Cape Cod summer of fun. The Flying Bridge did an awesome job serving chowder and their version of "spa water" which was free to all. Nicole Oliverio, a news reporter from channel 7 WHGH  was the guest host and took the stage with Doug for the prediciton.  Matt Pitta who does the morning news on WFCC 107.5  looked like one of the body guards for Doug dressed in black. Also present were Karen Blake and Ralphie Marino from WQRC 99.9 our Cape Cod ambassadors for news and fun every morning. All in all it was fun and the food was delicious. Doug predicted 80 days of good weather but no matter what the weather, we are in control of what we love to do. Let the summer begin and enjoy. Be safe and drive careful.
