The Alliance changes the plan, again

Great advertising ideas, NOT.
And now I see that the leadership at Association to Preserve Nantucket Sound for us Rich Folks, having given up all pretense of being an environmental group, has a new marketing plan to persuade the rest of the state to help them stop renewable energy projects in Osterville's backyard.
The Koch-Kurker-Mihos advertising geniuses spent much to erect a billboard on Route 3 coming south out of Boston with a misleading photo of an off-shore construction platform and the headline, "What else hasn't Cape Wind told us?"
Osterville YES. My backyard NO.
Thank God they used that awful, phony photo. Every driver passing it who lives in Beverly, Melrose, Dover, Duxbury, Hingham, Scituate, Cohasset, Westport, Dartmouth, Mattapoisett, Marion, Marblehead, Manchester and all the other North Shore and South Shore towns are thinking, "YES ! Quick, put those suckers off Osterville before they think of putting them in my backyard!"
Ernie Corrigan to the rescue
Or maybe their old-time media adviser Ernie Corrigan (on right who also helped Cardinal Law fight off detractors) made this advertising buy for them.
I can just hear old Ernie saying, "You’re right, Mr. Koch, it’s all about the view. Can you see them from Zachary’s?”

About This Blog
Up-starts, up-smarts, other cranks &
dilettantes adorn a media scene once renown for excellence, so this journal
will attempt to point out the more obvious foibles and triumphs of the local press to our
gentle readers and fellow Cape Codders.
