Hazing charged at Otis ANG base football camp
Officials Probe Alleged Hazing At Cape Cod Teen Sports Camp
Fairhaven football Coach Resigns Citing 'Personal Reasons'
Fairhaven school officials are under fire after an alleged hazing incident at a summer football camp held at the Otis ANG base. (See the WCVB video here)
The district attorney's office is investigating an alleged incident. The Fairhaven High School (on right) principal would not confirm what allegedly took place.
"We are investigating our athletic Code of Conduct and how that applies to student athletes who attended this camp. That's exactly what we're doing," said Fairhaven High School Principal Jean Cote.
Despite calling a news conference, NewsCenter 5's Amalia Barreda reported, Fairhaven's High School principal Cote revealed little information and refused to confirm that an alleged hazing incident by members of the football team was the focus of his investigation.
Concerned about protecting students' privacy, Cote did say that 15 players went to a private camp held every summer at Otis Air National Guard Base on Cape Cod, where an incident is alleged to have happened...
