Gun shot fired outside Dennis Rt. 134 cinema complex
DENNIS - Scary moments outside a crowded cinema complex Saturday night when a gun shot is reportedly fired. Dennis Police responded to multiple calls about the shot about 9 PM Saturday outside the Entertainment Cinemas at the Patriot Square plaza on Route 134.
According to a press release Police located a suspect a short time later and then recovered a .380 caliber semi-automatic handgun with 5 rounds still in it behind the movie house. Luckily despite many people coming and going from movies at the time no one was injured. The suspect is a 15-year old juvenile from Yarmouth who is not being identified because of his age. He is charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon-firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, carrying ammunition, discharging a weapon within 500 feet of an occupied building and possession of brass knuckles. Detectives believe they know who the suspect was firing at but are still trying to figure out a motive. Posted on 9/04 at 5:00 AM.

Firefighters were able to quickly extricate the driver 20-year old Katherine Sullivan of Brewster. Dennis Police say she had been in an earlier crash on Depot Road. Police reportedly determined that because her front license plate was still at the scene. They accompanied Sullivan in the ambulance and after she was treated she was charged with operating under the influence and speeding.
