| EEE threat prompts Bourne to abandon night sports contests By Paul Gately No night football games will be played at Bourne High School this season until the first frost covers the Upper Cape and the threat of mosquito-transmitted Eastern equine encephalitis is eliminated by cooler weather. The school committee voted 7-0 Wednesday night to eliminate all evening outdoor activities at Bourne schools and convert any night games to afternoon contests.
