Beatty says terrorists would eat people like Delahunt for breakfast

Congressional Candidate Jeff Beatty proposes Iraq Success Plan
Accuses Delahunt of being unqualified to solve security and war issues

Jeff Beatty, the Republican candidate for Congress, says the Iraq War and terrorism are big issues in this election, but he thinks the 10th Congressional District needs a congressman who is  more qualified in those issues than the incumbent Bill Delahunt.

Beatty, a Harwich resident, says he has been in this same fight over 25 years including time as an Army Delta Force Officer as a helicopter pilot, an FBI agent advising the national Hostage Rescue Team and a CIA Counter-Terrorism Officer in Europe and the Middle East.

In a statement released today, Beatty claims that Congressman Delahunt is only an observer in these matters who has for the last 40 years been a critic, not an actual participant in counter-terrorism operations or armed conflict against our enemies.

Says terrorists would eat people like Bill Delahunt for breakfast

Beatty accuses Delahunt of wanting to cut and run in Iraq, and he says that would be a terrorist victory and only encourage more terrorism.

Beatty added, "The terrorists I have met and worked against eat people like Bill Delahunt for breakfast. They see them as weak and ineffective."

Beatty's three nations plan for disengaging from Iraq

The Beatty success plan for Iraq would bring home 100,000 troops in a year. He says that "Iraq is really three 'Nations' in one Country."

A provision in the Iraqi constitution, he adds, would allow creation of an Iraqi Federation with Kurds in the North, Sunnis in the center and Shia in the south. Implementing this federation would immediately reduce sectarian violence and the national groups themselves would weed out the foreign terrorists then remaining in Iraq.

Beatty claims that his plan will mean that 20 years from now, Iraqis will say, “The Americans got rid of Saddam, something we could not do. The Americans gave us our independence, something we could not secure on our own. The Americans helped us rebuild.”

He says that with this plan, just like with Japan and Germany, we can bring our troops home victorious and make allies out of enemies.

Below is the original Beatty Press Release:

October 2, 2006
HARWICH – For immediate release

Jeff Beatty, Congressional Candidate MA-10th proposes Iraq Success Plan and accuses Delahunt of being unqualified to solve security and war issues.

I am Jeff Beatty and I am running for US Congress.  Democrats and Republicans say the Iraq War and Terrorism are big issues in this election.  We need to elect a Congressman who is the most qualified in those issues. It is not Bill Delahunt.

I have been in this fight for over 25 years including time as an Army Delta Force Officer, an FBI agent advising the national Hostage Rescue Team and a CIA Counter-Terrorism Officer in Europe and the Middle East. I know our enemies and I have defeated them in combat, security and intelligence operations.

Bill Delahunt is only an observer in these matters and over the last 40 years has chosen to be a critic, not an actual participant in counter-terrorism operations or armed conflict against our enemies.  Delahunt wants to cut and run in Iraq. That would be a Terrorist victory and only encourage more Terrorism.  The Terrorists I have met and worked against eat people like Bill Delahunt for breakfast.  They see them as weak and ineffective.

The Beatty success plan for Iraq will bring home 100,000 troops in a year.  Iraq is really 3 “Nations” in one Country.

A provision in the Iraqi constitution allows creation of an Iraqi federation with Kurds in the North, Sunni’s in the center and Shia in the south. Implementing this federation will immediately reduce sectarian violence and the National groups themselves will weed out the Foreign Terrorists then remaining in Iraq.

The Beatty plan will mean that 20 years from now, Iraqi’s will say, “The Americans got rid of Saddam, something we could not do.  The Americans gave us our independence, something we could not secure on our own. The Americans helped us rebuild.”

The unselfish efforts of our Armed Forces have put us in a position to have a success in Iraq as outlined in the

Beatty plan.  And my friends, just like with Japan and Germany, we can bring our troops home victorious and make allies out of enemies.

I am Jeff Beatty, a veteran fully qualified to lead us against the threats we face. I ask for your vote on November 7.

I approved this message paid for by the Beatty for Congress Committee 508-430-VOTE

Mr Beatty
what happens when the Shia decide their getting the shaft by beinf denined revenues from the oil reserves?? What happens when full blown civil war breaks out after the 3 way split occurs?? I actually agree with your plan, however what do we do if the fighting grows worse?? I belive we need to pull the boots out of the cities and redeploy to fortified bases near the oil fields. Whatever rational we went into Iraq with is no longer valid, now we need to stablilize the oil prices and let the civil war run itself out.

Beaty says Delahunt would be eaten by Terrorist, well ask Jeff Beaty about how he cancelled the paycheck of one of his star campaign aides who happened to be a fellow veteran as well. He ripped off Josh Dunn. While Delahunt may get eaten by terrorists, Jeff Beaty eats his campaign workers.

Dear Beaty [sic] eats worker,

Don't you know that Beatty and Dunn have already settled their dispute--without your invaluable help?

I like this guy. If the terrorists come here, we'll just let Congressman Beatty deal with them personally.

It wouldn't be long before terrorists would know the deal... Massachusetts is off limits.

Congressman Beatty would always let one terrorist survive... just so he could limp back to the base (with a stealthy Beatty tracking him, of course) and warn the others.

The helicopter is the best part, when used in an Apocalypse Now/ Magnum P.I. attack mode. It also would allow Congressman Beatty to project power into other Congressional districts.

Yup... Osama will want no part of anywhere near Harwich when C.B. has our back. They'll suddenly see the appeal of Connecticut... although that may even be too close to C.B. for their comfort.

Like any other large organization, the terrorists will see the potential for big gains in the emerging Chinese market... and they'll retreat from Cape Cod until such a day comes when men like CB aren't watching our back anymore.

Gee Mr. Beatty. You are supposed to be smart but your solution for the war in Iraq is pretty dumb. Who ever heard of "3 'Nations' in one Country."

Hello! Remember about 150 years ago when the people in the state your car is registered to, Virginia, decided they wanted two nations in one. It worked out well didn't it, that little Civil War?

It's working out well in Cyprus. Did you ever hear of Sri Lanka and its Tamil Tigers? Oh, yeah there's Yugoslavia where they tried that also after Tito died. Worked out really well.

If we went your way, I agree that 100,000 Americans would be coming home but it wouldn't be the way we want them to come home. It'd be like the 2700 plus young Americans have come home because your Republican party decided to fight that unwinnable war in Iraq with people who hate us.

Mr. Beatty you are a Republican. That is the last thing this country needs are any more Republicans to bring us more wars. Please do not pretend you are anything else that a Bush groupy who will do whatever Hastert or those other leaders tell you.

Go back to Virginia.
