Shots fired in attempted robbery in Dennis
DENNIS
- A scary scene late Sunday night after whats being described as an attempted armed robbery ends with 3 gun shots fired. Dennis Police say about 11:30 PM a lone male attempted to rob two people sitting in a vehicle at Hawthorne and Old Bass River Roads in South Dennis. No one was hit by the gunfire. The suspect fled in a small pickup truck and is described as a dark skinned black male, approximately 5'6" in height and a thin build.  At the time of the robbery the suspect was wearing a black puffy jacket with a hood, black pants, black sneakers and was wearing a black ski mask.  The suspect also spoke with a southern accent. Dennis Police do not believe this was a random act. They ask anyone with information to contact them at (508) 394-1315. Posted on 11/27 at 3:45 PM; updated on 11/27 at 4:45 PM.

If there's a man in the US named Dennis Yarmouth, they should make him the mayor or something. I'd settle for Denise Yarmouth, but I'd throw in something about her having to bear a male heir named Dennis.
