Booted juror charged as accessory in Falmouth shooting
Charged as an accessory after the fact (attempted murder)
FALMOUTH - The juror booted from the Christa Worthington trial is now herself in trouble with the law. Rachel Huffman (pictured) was arrested Wednesday for being an accessory after the fact in the shooting on November 11th on Homestead Lane in Falmouth, larceny under $250 and possession of stolen RMV documents. According to today's Boston Globe story the woman dismissed from the jury of a high-profile murder trial after being taped talking about the trial with her jailed boyfriend was arrested Wednesday as an alleged accessory in his attempted murder case. Rachel Huffman, 22, was picked up on a warrant charging her as an accessory after the fact (attempted murder), with larceny under $250 and possession of stolen Registry of Motor Vehicles documents, Falmouth police said in a news release. She also was charged with possession of marijuana after a small amount of the drug allegedly was found in her purse, police said.  Huffman was booted from the Worthington jury after phone calls between her and her boyfriend Kyle Hicks who was arrested for the shooting surfaced showing they discussed the trial. Officials had earlier said the shooter was found hiding in a closet in Huffman's home and they discovered 306 stolen Mass RMV inspection stickers in her car which was allegedly used in the shooting. Sandwich man charged with eighth OUI
PLYMOUTH - A Sandwich man will be summonsed to court to face his eighth OUI charge after allegedly colliding with a vehicle driven by his own daughter. According to the Time the incident occurred over the weekend in Plymouth. Police say 46-year Robert Marapoti's daughter found her father asleep behind the wheel of a car at the Tedeschi's in Cedarville and left the scene. Marapoti reportedly followed and then rammed her car a short distance down the road. The daughter was treated at Jordan Hospital in Plymouth but Marapoti had to be transferred to a Boston hospital. He'll be summonsed for operating under the influence, operating with a revoked license (records say it had been revoked for life), and failure to use care in stopping. Posted on 11/29 at 4:30 PM.

Students briefly evacuated from Nauset High School
EASTHAM
 - Students at Nauset High School in Eastham were briefly evacuated just as school was starting this morning. Reports say a small chemical reaction occurred in the school lab about 8 AM which created enough smoke to trip the alarm system. Firefighters were able to quickly ventilate the room and allow students to return to class. No one was injured. Posted on 11/29 at 9:00 AM.
