Sagamore house fire; Another worker loses fingers; Truro officers to be honored

Fire extensively damages Sagamore home

BOURNE - A fire caused extensive damage to a Sagamore home. Smoke could be seen from the Sagamore Bridge catching the eye of motorists crossing the bridge but not causing any major delays. The occupants of the ranch style home 2 Easting Road were not home at the time. Mutual aid from sandwich helped out at the scene while other surrounding departments covered area stations. Officials say the fire is not suspicious but appears to be electrical in nature. Centerville Fire Lt. Britt Crosby was nearby when the alarm came in about 3 PM and was one of the first to arrive catching the dramatic scene above. View more of his photos at capecodfd.com.
