Pair arrested in store break-in
YARMOUTH
- Two people have been arrested in connection with a store break-in CWN first told you about last Friday. Thats when  the Yarmouth Police responded to a burglar alarm at the Yarmouthport Village Store on Route 6A in Yarmouthport. Yarmouth Police Patrol Officers Kevin L. Antonovitch and Neal P. Donohue arrived at the store and immediately found a southeast window smashed open. The Patrol Officers secured the scene and called for a K9 unit and a Crime Scene Investigator. By reviewing and enhancing the video captured by the in store surveillance security system-officers were able to identify the vehicle used in the crime-a maroon 1996 Chevrolet Lumina minivan. On Wednesday at about 8:00 PM-members of the Yarmouth Police Department interviewed and arrested two men for last Friday's early morning break-in at the Yarmouthport Village Store. The arrests came as a result of a follow-up investigation conducted by Yarmouth Police Detectives Eric H. Nuss and Charles E. Peterson with assistance from Patrol Officers Raymond A. Scichilone-David S. Dickey-and Christopher Van Ness. The two men involved. 20-year old Matthew Pungitore (left) of of West Yarmouth and 17-year old Jason Whitehead (right) of Sandwich were charged with Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Destruction of Property, and Felony Larceny from a Building. Man arrested twice within hours in Yarmouth
YARMOUTH
- A local man is arrested twice within hours after a bizarre series of events Wednesday. It started about approximately 8:00 PM when Yarmouth Police responded to a citizen complaint reporting a disturbance on Circuit Road North in West Yarmouth. Yarmouth Police Patrol Officer Bradley J. Donahue arrived in the neighborhood and was informed by the victim that a neighborhood man had allegedly backed his red Ford pickup truck up to her parked vehicle and deliberately spun the rear tires spewing rocks and dirt on to the front of her vehicle.

Patrol Officer Donahue confirmed the report by speaking with a separate witness and observed the fresh tire marks and damaged to the parked vehicle. Patrol Officer Donahue went to the home of the suspect 57-year old Michael Arrone (pictured) and placed him under arrest. Arrone was booked at Yarmouth Police Headquarters and was subsequently released on personal recognizance.

At approximately 10:00 PM police received another call from the same victim reporting that the same neighbor had returned home and was harassing her by parking the same red Ford pickup truck with its high beam headlights on and directly facing their home.

Patrol Officer Bradley J. Donahue responded to the residence and observed the pick up truck running unattended with its headlights shining into the windows of the victim's home. Patrol Officer Donahue attempted to locate the truck owner but no one answered at the residence. Patrol Officer Donahue shut the vehicle off-seized its keys-and secured the truck and then returned to Yarmouth Police Headquarters to file additional charges.

Within minutes-the victim called the Yarmouth Police Department again reporting that the suspect had exited his home-restarted the truck-and turned its high beams on. In addition, he started a silver Dodge pickup truck and put its high beam headlights on in the same exact fashion.

Patrol Officer Donahue returned to the area and located Mr. Arrone. Patrol Officer Donahue placed him under arrest and transported him to Yarmouth Police Headquarters where he was held overnight without bail. He is scheduled for arraignment today in the Barnstable District Court on charges of Felony Malicious Destruction of Property, Felony Intimidation of a Witness (Two Counts), Allowing a Vehicle to Idle Over 5 Minutes, and Criminal Harassment. Mugshot furnished by YPD.

Pungitore should do time for having a silly beard.

Arrone looks like one of a kind, though. That case would have been brushed under the rug in Duxbury, where I saw a guy repreatedly back into his neighbor's car because he didn't feel that there should be street parking.

The Duxbury police did nothing about it- even warning the victim about further contact with the perp- and left. So the guy crawled up on the dude's roof that evening and defectted down his chimney.

We got him back more when he was trying to sell his house. Any time a broker came by with people, we'd bring out the 1991 and 1978 storm shots. "Parts of this very property were found in Kingston, 10 miles that way (pointing across the Great Salt Marsh) after the Halloween Gale." He sold for 385K...should have had 700K.

Eff him, and the crooked DPD.

Wait a minute wait a minute wait a goddamn minute.... it's against the law to Allow a Vehicle to Idle Over 5 Minutes?????

Before I get all worked up, I'll just assume that there's a good reason for that law that I'm just not seeing... but I'm gonna need someone to point it out to me.

If a guy started his car, went back in for coffee, got pounced on for a quicky by his frisky wife, and didn't get out there to the car for like 25 minutes....

A) What's the penalty?

B) Do they arrest him for starting the car, or me for initiating the sex that distracted him?

You know cops, Tim... look into that for me, will ya?

Spasi be.

Being an accessory to allowing a vehicle to idle for more than 5 minutes carries a mandatory imprisonment of 3 to 5, and/or fines, court costs and various legal fees..... Try to keep it under 5 minutes....lol

For the police in Yarmouth, you should really start looking into Aronne's neighbors. They have done nothing but harrass the nicest guy in the neighborhood for the past two years. He has helped out everyone of them in one way or another, but because he owns property that they can't park on they are being total A******s about it. Half the time he isn't even around when they accuse him of something. One of the neighbors has a father who is a retired sheriff, another is a retired fire fighter and one or more work for the town of Chatham or Yarmouth. How fair is that for Aronne being a civilian? As I said, knowing Aronne, he is the most kindest, giving, warm hearted guy. It would be a privilage for anyone to know him. Aronne had a massive heart attack last April and these people just keep harrassing him hoping he'll have another. They are nothing but trouble. As I said, the Yarmouth Police should start looking at the real problem, not Aronne.

Speaking of the Yarmouth Police, ask them to show how many times they have responded to the numerous calls Aronne has made. Then check into how many times they responded to the degenerate neighbors. I'm sure you will find more from the people who have or know someone in town office compared to who Aronne might know. I have never encountered Police that act like the one's in Yarmouth.
