Warrant service leads to rifle, heroin
Cash, heroin, a rifle and ammo seized by Yarmouth Police
YARMOUTH - Police got more than they bargained for when they went to arrest a wanted person in Yarmouth. About 10:45 AM Saturday Patrol Investigators Scott Lundegren and Christopher Van Ness went to 15 Midstream Drive in South Yarmouth seeking a man wanted on 3 outstanding felony default arrest warrants.
The wanted man 26-year old David S. Gonsalves of South Yarmouth was located inside of the home and placed under arrest. While in the process of securing Gonsalves-Patrol Investigator Van Ness reportedly located a fully loaded and unsecured shotgun leaning against a bedroom wall. In addition-police recovered a bag of heroin that was found in the suspect's pocket and other illegal drug related paraphernalia was located in the bathroom.
Gonsalves was transported to Yarmouth Police Headquarters charged with the warrants for Felony Default Warrant for Counterfeiting from the Barnstable District Court, Felony Default Warrant for Counterfeiting from the Barnstable District Court, Felony Default Warrant for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon from the Barnstable District Court. In addition he was charged by Yarmouth for Possession of Class A Heroin (11.5 grams), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Improper Storage of a Firearm. He was being held pending his arraignment in the Barnstable District Court on Monday. Photos furnished by Yarmouth Police.
Provincetown firefighters quell dumpster fire
PROVINCETOWN - Firefighters made quick work of this dumpster fire early Sunday afternoon.
The fire at 31 Bayberry Avenue was near the house but did not extend beyond the dumpster.
No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

It looks like Metamucil and a face powder compact.
Of course, constipation is well known side effect of opiates but is it illegal to own a laxative?
It's always funny to me when the cops include cash in the evidence photos, as if cash were illegal.
The powder is probably used in drug sales/packaging
