Blog posts and comments are entirely the thoughts and ideas of the people who write them and in no way represent the views of CapeCodToday.com, eCape, Inc., or its employees or owners.
And LOL Thong
It's the same as are there more gays, lesbians, naughty pols or child abuse? There isn't, but there is a lot more reporting of those and of accidents on Cape Cod where there is no more tourism for example than a decade ago.
We've got five photographers with Police scanners out trying to cover the Cape "24/7" for loyal and valued readers like yourself.
For the real Cape Cod Scoop on murder since 1620 see here.
CapeCodToday is a locally owned internet newspaper owned and operated by eCape.com and the Best Read Guide.
It's principals has lived here all their lives, one's family goes back to the first 8 settlers.
capecodonline.com is owned by the Dow Jones Co., soon to be owned by Rupert Murdoch.
I personally have been a newspaperman here working for others since 1965, so I have more sources and media friends than a sane person should. wb
And the reason I like Joan Rivers is because she can laugh at herself, and she's funny. She once said,"I would cry, but my tear-ducts have been pulled below my a**" (or something like that) That's funny!!
BTW, how do you know they are not real?? What other comments do you like to make to degrade women?
They're surrounded by real skin aren't they??
i'll take 2 please;)
I feel bad for her; I would be beyond pissed if some juvie jerk wrecked my car.
Bitter--I am somewhat knowledgeable about hair. Please tell me what you don't like about your hair and I will make a practical and affordable suggestion.
Also, please realize that the extreme humidity we've had lately is theworst-worst-worst thing for hair styling. It frizzes and limps out and does nothing it's supposed to.
When I go to CA or Las Vegas, my hair looks the best because it's so dry.
So in the summers here, my hair looks like s*** but I have a great tan.
In fact, I have to say that even the rich people I see out and about with great cars and bodies and teeth and clothes--their hair doesn't look so great. Not here it doesn't.
REAL.
My hair is long, straight and boring. The thing is, I hate having it in my face,so it's nice to pull it back in a tail or a bun. Boring, boring boring! But comfortable.
See here.
Where the heck are his parents? Doesn't he know that their are predators on every corner? I bet ya he didn't even have sunblock on.
Please answer these questions so that I can help you with your hair:
Your gender (prob: female, but just checking)
Your approximate age
Hair color
Hair length --you said "long"--does this mean past shoulders or what
You said it's straight--what about thickness--is is hard for you to get an elastic around it twice when pulling it back or are you thinning?
I've read the talk about shampoo and barrettes and this is child's play.
ROFLMFAOOOO @ Capemom
Advice from someone who's hair looks like s***, unless they are in Ca or Vegas.. Brilliant
p.s. Nee Nee's You Tube grandma has a tan too. Can't say it makes up for her s****y hair...lmfao
Nee Nee--that is the most disgusting set of pics I have seen in a long, long time.
And as for the stats capemom, here they are;
Female, mid-forties, hair down to middle of back, blond turned gray-brown, still pretty thick, although losing some of it daily. So, what's your advice?
echolodge55@yahoo.com love to hear from you
Whao Nee Nee....giddyup
Sorry, I don't make the rules, I'm just stating a a fact. The long hair is dragging your face down, making you look older.
Color: the gray has got to go, there's no way it looks any kind of good on any woman, ever. Get thee to a colorist, now, and I can recommend several. Do not use "box color" i.e., stuff you buy at CVS. Ever.
Get a layered cut to your shoulders with bangs, wispy or thick. Bangs are fairly necessary to hide the advancing forehead and wrinkles which you may or may not have, but will some day. Get a soft cut that frames your face.
You know who has great hair for her age? Suzanne Somers. I mean the cut, not the color, although I like hers.
After 40+ years, your hair (and mine) is too tired to hold up to the scrutiny of a blunt long cut. It only emphasizes your gray and flyaways.
Echo , ya know it's appealing but I'm here eating my hay and well, hay isn't really that filling so I'll be busy for a while.....Capemom - I'm not sure I like you anymore :) But being 46 and wanting to grow my hair past my butt before I die I'll just age ungracefully with my droopy boobs and face to match :)
Colorist? Mom, do I have to? THAT"S where I feel fake....although millions of women do it all over the world, so.....why not? Wow, maybe this will make me look ten years younger!!!
And then maybe FEEL ten years younger!!
Thanks so much for the suggestions. And about those colorists? Who are they and where are they?
And where to get a good cut? I've heard Salon on the Six in Brewster is good...avoid pro-cuts, right?
OH, and what do you leave for a tip? How much?
But Bitter expressed some concern about her hair, no doubt prompted by an impending date with a younger guy--and good for her. Nothing like that to make you feel young ;)
Asking your husband or boyfriend if he likes your hair or body is useless, because if they have half a brain they will lie so you won't be mad at them. And asking a date is even more useless, because they are trying to get in your pants eventually, so they will lie.
And anyway, it's all about you feel about yourself, anyway. 54% of American women color their hair. There is nothing that makes you look older than gray hair. There are many "natural" shades.
It's not about looking natural, it's about looking your best.
And also, how much to tip? I really have no clue, and don't want to over or under do it....last time I had my hair cut, it was $5.00 for a tip. Not enough, right?
Nee Nee: I am simply stating basic hair fashion rules to follow for women over 40 that are widely accepted, except perhaps on hippie communes and parts of Eastham :). Obviously, if you're happy with your appearance, than don't change a thing. It's all about feeling good about yourself and aging gracefully.
Well, I am an Aquarius :) I had my hair down to my knees when I was 6. I was slightly shorter back then :) I still insist my mom made me cut it and she always said it was my idea so for my own selfish needs I want to get it there again :) And beside the fact that I'm losing my hair from perms. I have alot of thin hair not thick like bitter. Wish I had thick hair...sigh....
Echo - Sure dinner sounds great - can I bring hub and the two kids? You're paying right? My one son is 6 ft tall and almost 16 and can really eat. It will be nice to keep some food in the house for a day! Thanks!!!
the following are all good colorists and hair cutters:
Jill at Salon 6A in Barnstable
Laurie at Cosmetique, Hyannis
Nicole at Sara's Hair Etc. in Orleans
You should tip 15%, and 20% once in awhile.
Other advice: it's summer, get a nice tan. It helps hide cellulite and fat, not that you have any (I sure do ;)
Lips grow paler as you get older and you maybe haven't noticed. Go to a makeup counter and have them find you a nice shade that gives you understated color.
If this advice if perceived as un-PC, let me clarify: it's not about having expensive and painful surgery and going to ridiculous lengths to look 10-15 years younger, which you never will.
It's about looking like the best 40-something you that is possible with a reasonable investment of time and money.
If you feel attractive, it gives you confidence and you will radiate positive energy, which attracts positive people to you.
Crystal Gale I wouldn't worry about it, but whatever. I told you I knew this was stupid. And I'm tired. No more coffee....bed!
Not to mention that whole questionable sh## that went down with juror #4.
Well, there's a whole list of questionable sh** as far as this trial is concerned.
But nonetheless, the standard in America is Guilt Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, and there was a whole lot of reasonabe doubt in that trial.
Do you have a life??? You really have a comment on everything don't you !!! From
murders to hairdressing to who knows what
else ...jack of all trades master of none!!!
