Shoplifter arrested in Hyannis
HYANNIS - The Barnstable PD were called at about 7 PM tonight to Stop & Shop on Independence Drive in Hyannis for a shoplifter who was being chased by security but lost when he ran towards Borders and the woods onto to Independence Drive.
Barnstable Police caught the man within within 10 minutes. He was then positively identified and transported to the police station.

Person injured at Mashpee pool
MASHPEE - One person was rushed to Cape Cod Hospital after a poolside incident in Mashpee about 6:45 PM. Further details were not immediately available.
Child Medflighted from Bourne after fall
BOURNE - A toddler was reportedly flown to a Boston hospital after a fall in Bourne Saturday afternoon. The 2 year old apparently fell from a chair at her home on Easting Road and suffered a head injury. Also in Bourne officials were working with Onset on a report of a man fallen with a head injury near the town line. He was transported to Tobey Hospital in Wareham and rescuers were reportedly trying to get a helicopter for him as well. Further details were not immediately available.
Hyannis crash clogs major artery to Hospital
A two vehicle crash on East Main Street in Hyannis blocked a major access route to CCH.
HYANNIS - Just before noon Saturday already clogged roads got a bit worse with this 2 car crash on East Main Street and Bayview Street.
A Dennis ambulance returning from the hospital assisted, and ultimately transported one patient.
The scene is along a major artery for ambulances coming up Route 28 to get th CCH and traffic was so backed up so bad that Barnstable County dispatch advised any incoming ambulances to seek alternate routes to the hospital. Barnstable Police are investigating the crash.

It'll be better than the Cape COd fisherman one, which although a great idea and pretty well done, was lacking in attractiveness except for a couple of months, but that's just MHO.
