9/11 remembered

9/11/2001 - 9/11/2007: Never forget our fallen brothers and sisters.
Read our original 9/11 coverage here. Several Cape towns held 9/11 remembrance events:

HARWICH -
Services were held across the Cape today in remembrance of the Sept.11 terrorist attacks six years ago.

A crowd gathered outside Harwich Fire Headquarters where Firefighter David LeBlanc rang the bell significant of the last alarm that the first responders answered at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and the hijacked plane that crashed in a Pennsylvania field.

WEST DENNIS
-The Dennis Fire Department paused in its daily routine Tuesday morning to remember the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks. On-duty personnel and friends of the department gathered in the front parking lot of the West Dennis headquarters for a brief ceremony.

Fire department chaplains David Akin and Joshua Crowell addressed the gathering and shared in the reading of the 23rd psalm. Helen Wilkerson, a very close friend of the department, read the Fireman's Prayer and the bell on Engine 112 was rung in solemn remembrance of those lost in the attacks. The Dennis 9/11 plaque is seen below.
